Goals

Continue education efforts on church reform, on social justice, on
nonviolence, and on personal development and spiritual growth.

Make
participation in liturgies a part of personal development and
spiritual growth.

Expand
membership, focusing on the younger generation and on people of color,
but also continuing our outreach to, cooperation with, and possible
cross-membership with people in like-minded groups.

Improve present communication efforts by developing an e-mail network,
better public relations, and increasing contributions of time, talent,
and treasure to our newsletter, CONNECTIONS.

Continue our affiliation with, and support of the goals of, the
national CTA organization.
Platform
-
Incorporating women at all levels of ministry and decision making;

Opening the priesthood to non celibates, both men and women, including
welcoming back resigned priests;

Academic freedom, especially for teachers of theology;
-
Due
process for both paid and non paid church ministers;
-
Extensive consultation in the issue of sexuality;
-
Financial openness at all levels including the Vatican;
-
Participation in the selection of local bishops;
-
Overall, a more participatory community of believers who practice what
Jesus preached in regard to nonviolence and the preferential option
for the poor.
